Alvarez, David & Fabiola
Centro Cristiano Cultural de Guatemala
Pastor David Alvarez is the leader of a church in Guatemala City that serves all over the country doing feeding programs to children who are less fortunate. Many of the children they serve hot meals to are malnourished and many times go to school hungry. He serves with his wife, Fabiola and three children.
The church members of CCG serve these children in different villages by sending teams in areas to prepare meals for these children before school getting up early hours of the morning to have the food ready for these precious children. Bible stories are shared while the children eat. The children are required to memorize scriptures before they eat.
Pastor David receives work teams from the USA as well as other parts of the world to help assist in the work of this ministry. You can learn more about the work of CCG by visiting their web site.
Gable, Tom and Linda
New Song Mission
Tommy has been training pastors who oversee the central church and sending them out to start new rural churches. There are presently 3 outreach churches growing under their care. Linda has been working in the areas of pure water, health, education, small businesses and administration. God has sent some incredible young people who are handling the finances, youth and children's ministries, and the Lord has brought us a devoted Nicaraguan staff ~ working together we are seeing the blessing of the Lord over New Song. We host many short term US teams each year as well as long term young missionaries who live on the land. The medical and dental clinic is quickly moving toward its self-sustaining goal since we have the only dentist, xray machine, and pharmacy among 10,000 people. We are presently finishing our store, restaurant and bakery to serve our community and provide jobs for more families. Many youth enjoy playing baseball and soccer on our ball fields daily. Our hearts desire is that many people here would come to know the Lord Jesus and experience His great love and redemption. We also have future dreams to create and a leadership training center and a restoration center in the mountains of Matagalpa where we now live.
